Suspect arrested with kerala cannabis in North

A coordinated operation conducted by the Navy and the Police Special Task Force in Uduththurei, Kilinochchi on 05 March had led to the arrest of a suspect and the detection of over 03kg of Kerala cannabis and a motorcycle, Navy headquarters said.

The combined search operation was carried out by the Naval Deployment at Veththalakerni in the Northern Naval Command and the STF Kilinochchi. During this operation, a motorcycle was intercepted on suspicion and it was revealed that the rider was peddling around 03kg and 960g of Kerala cannabis. Accordingly, the suspect along with Kerala cannabis and the motorbike was taken into custody.
