Sudarshini remains independent

Gampaha District SLPP MP Dr. Sudarshini Fernandopulle yesterday (14) said that there was no basis for claims that she had switched her allegiance to Samagi Jana Balavegaya (SJB).

The MP said that she had given up the State Ministry in April this year in the wake of political turmoil and functioned as an independent MP. The former State Minister said that she had attended a meeting chaired by the Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa yesterday (14) to discuss a common agenda against the wake of the budget presentation. However, her attendance at that meeting had been misconstrued as her joining the SJB, the MP said (SF)
