Sudarshini complains of racketeers using her name

Primary Health Care, Epidemics and Covid Disease Control State Minister Dr Sudarshini Fernandopulle yesterday said in a statement that certain groups were using her name to call for assistance to procure medical equipment.

She called on people not to fall prey for such elements.

She said that a group by the name of Sri Lanka Unites had launched a campaign on social media using her name asking people to make donations to purchase medical equipment for the intensive care units of the hospitals in support of the government’s campaign against Covid-19.
