Students arrested for assaulting teacher for reprimanding them

Puttalam Police, on Thursday, arrested 17 students of Muslim Maha Vidyalaya, Thiladiya, for assaulting a teacher.The victim has lodged a complaint with the police that some of the students assaulted him when he reprimanded them for unruly behaviour.

Earlier, Puttalam Additional Magistrate, Themiya Haturusinghe, ordered the police to arrest all those involved in the incident.Altogether 21 students have been arrested over the incident.
