SATS was established according to a concept proposed by the management of Sterling Automobiles. The training school will initially act as a training school for the technical staff of Sterling Automobiles and the company hopes to open the programme to the general public within a span of two years, where any student interested in the field of automobile mechanics or automobile engineering will be given the opportunity to study at SATS and gain a qualification.

Measures are currently underway on the part of Sterling Automobiles to gain the National Vocational Qualification (NVQ) status for the courses offered by SATS.

The training course at SATS starts with the Maintenance Technician stage and progresses onto the Certified Technician, Expert Technician, Master Technician and finally the Master Diagnostic Technician stages. Upon the successful completion of each stage, participants will be offered a certificate in recognition of their achievement.
