State Minister from SLFP fires broadside at govt.

State Minister of Batik, Handloom and Local Apparel Products Dayasiri Jayasekara has said it was Basil Rajapaksa who appointed the present Cabinet of Ministers.

Basil and Secretary to the President, Dr. P.B. Jayasundera had created state ministries such as clay, cinnamon pepper and batik, which were ridiculed by the people, Minister Jayasekara said addressing a media conference in Colombo on Sunday.

Jayasekera said that he and some other state ministers had been sidelined by the Rajapaksas.

General Secretary of the SLPP Sagara Kariyawasam has condemned Minister Jayasekera’s statement critical of Basil.
