St. Thomas’, Kotte meet Sri Jayawardenapura MV in the  44th Battle of Kotte

Traditional rivals St. Thomas’ College, Kotte and Sri Jayawardenapura MV will meet for the 44th time in the Battle of Kotte Big Match on March 10 and 11 at Colts Cricket ground.

St. Thomas’, a team playing in the Under 19 Division III tournament, have reached the knockout stage in the ongoing tourney and will be looking forward to upsetting Sri Jayawardenapura MV, a Division II team at this annual Big Match. This year St. Thomas’ is captained by Virul Kethmika, while Heshan Nissanka Udara skippers Sri Jayawardenapura MV.

Sri Jayawardenapura MV have done well this season in the Division II tournament. They also have reached the business end after finishing third in Group ‘X’ of the Division II Tier ‘B’ tournament.
