SSC say no to Arjuna

Former Test captain Arjuna Ranatunga’s hopes of contesting for the post of Secretary at the upcoming Annual General Meeting of Sinhalese Sports Club have been squashed. The club had informed the World Cup winning captain that he’s ineligible to contest due to the fact that he is an Honorary Life member of the county’s leading club. Ranatunga will be now contesting for a post in the SSC ExCo. The AGM will take place on Friday (24 June). Arjuna has been a member of SSC for more than 40 years.
