SriLankan resumes Colombo-Paris flights

SriLankan Airlines on Sunday (31) resumed direct flights from France to Sri Lanka after a lapse of six years. The first flight UL 564 from Charles de Gaulle Airport arrived at the BIA at 4.25 am carrying over 200 passengers, both Lankans and tourists.

Pradeep Anura Kumara, Media Secretary to Tourism Minister Prasanna Ranatunga told The Island that the national carrier would operate three weekly flights between Paris and Colombo. Meanwhile, Air France, too would recommence direct flights between France and Sri Lanka beginning Nov 5 (SF)
