Sri Lanka’s young shuttlers win team golds in Nepal

Sri Lanka’s young shuttlers clinched gold medals in both the Under 17 and Under 15 age categories at the South Asian Junior Badminton Championships held in Kathmandu, Nepal yesterday.

Sri Lanka defeated Bangladesh 3-2 in the Under-17 final and defeated Nepal 3-0 in the final of U 15 event. Ranitma Liyanage, Hiruka Sahanmith, Ranumi Manage and Thidasa Weragoda competed in the Under-17 competition, while Senuth Sethmina Perera, Nethmi Amaya Ratnayake, Keneth Arukgoda and Sithuli Ranasinghe competed in the Under-15 event.
