Sri Lankan women chemists breakfast 2023

The Sri Lankan Women Chemists’ Breakfast organised by the Women Chemists Committee (WCC) was held recently at the Adamantane House, Institute of Chemistry Ceylon and through the virtual platform Zoom, in par with the IUPAC Global Women’s Breakfast.

The event emphasised on ‘Women Empowerment in Chemical Sciences in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals’, and was graced by the Chief Guest, Ms. Manoja Jayawardena, Director/CEO of Automated Barcode Solutions Pvt Ltd and the Guest of Honour, Ms. Nalini Kanchana Munasinghe, Manager, People’s Bank.

The winners of the essay competition “The Role of Chemists towards Social Well-being” and the “Photographic Abstract Competition” were announced during the event.

The event concluded with a traditional Sri Lankan breakfast served to everyone who joined the event.
