Sri Lankan at Fashion Week in Los Angeles

The past few weeks, we, too, have had our fair share of fashion shows, with Colombo showcasing some scintillating events.

In Los Angeles, in the States, Fashion Week is eagerly looked forward to, not only by the fashion-conscious folks, but also by celebrities.

I’m told that the Lumiere Runway Fashion Show is one of the biggest fashion shows in the LA Fashion Week calendar, and this year’s show was held at the famous Sunset Room, on Sunset Boulevard, in Hollywood.

Meler Productions, who handled the Lumiere Runway Fashion Show, also hosts fashion shows in Hong Kong and Dubai.

This year they had several different celebrity fashion designers to showcase their designs and in their scene was Sri Lankan-American model Zorianna Dass who did the needful on the ramp.

She was seen modelling for three celebrity fashion designers – Royal Lily Boutique, Leontine, and RasaNari.

In fact, Zorianna is turning out to be an in-demand model and has been in the spotlight, on many occasions, at some of the big fashion events held in LA.

Zorianna is the daughter of Morina Dass, who lives in Los Angeles, and has been in the fashion industry for many years.

In 2016, Morina won the title of Ms. California State America, and in 2011 was Mrs. Asia USA Runner-up at the Ms. America Mrs. Asia USA Pageant.

Says Morina, referring to the Lumiere Runway Fashion Show: “It’s amazing to be a part of this one of a kind fashion show in the entertainment capital of the world, Hollywood, and I was so happy to see my baby girl in the spotlight”

Adding further, Morina said that they never fail to check out The Island online edition.

“You always keep us updated with the latest happenings in the entertainment scene, and we missed your pages the last two weeks.”
