Sri Lanka Under 19s win Youth Test series Sri Lanka Under 19s clinched the two match Youth Test series against their West Indies counterparts with seven wickets victory in the final Youth Test at Dambulla on Thursday.
After taking the last two wickets of West Indies for the addition of just 26 runs to the overnight total Sri Lanka Under 19s knocked off the win need in just 19 overs to seal the victory before the lunch break on the penultimate day.
Skipper Sineth Jayawardena smashed 30 runs off 14 balls (5x4s, 1x6s) and Rusanda Gamage and Ravishan de Silva remained unbeaten on 21 and 17 runs respectively as the hosts won the series 1-0.
Vihas Thewmika completed a match bag of eight wickets for the hosts, while Jordan Johnson was the promising batsman for West Indies. Johnson, who scored a half century in the first innings, scored an unbeaten 157 runs in the second essay.
