Sri Lanka to propel climate initiatives at COP28 conference in Dubai – Minister of Foreign Affairs

Addressing a special press briefing on COP28 held at the Presidential Media Centre (PMC) this morning (29) , Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Sabry said that President Wickremesinghe  will propose the launch of the Climate Justice Forum, the Tropical Belt Initiative and the establishment of a Climate Change University in Sri Lanka.

In addition to Minister Ali Sabry, Ministers Keheliya Rambukwella and Kanchana Wijesekera, Senior Presidential Adviser on Climate Change Ruwan Wijewardena and the Chairman of the National Youth Service Council Pasindu Gunaratne addressed the press briefing. COP28 will take place in Dubai from tomorrow (30) until the 12th of December.
