Sri Lanka stun Iran at Nations League Volleyball Tournament in Pakistan

Sri Lanka team registered a stunning straight sets victory over Iran at the CAVA Nations League Men’s Volleyball Tournament at the National Stadium in Islamabad on Wednesday.

It was their second victory of the tournament after having earlier beaten Afghanistan. Their only defeat was at the hands of Pakistan.

The national team captained by Deepthi Romesh comprise Manoj Suranga, Maleesha Ravishan, Isuru Madhushan, Praneeth Dinendra,  Shehan Vimukthi, Sanuka Madubhashana, Wasantha Lakmal, Ayesh Dilhan, Lahiru Pramuditha, Manjula Nalin, Dulanjana Sandeepa, Mahesh Wannigamage and Vimukthi Sagara.

The tournament which commenced on May 9 will conclude on Saturday.
