Sri Lanka continue unbeaten run

Sri Lanka topped their group with a 3-0 win over Kyrgyzstan as the hosts continued their unbeaten run in the Davis Cup 2022 at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts on Thursday.While Yasitha de Silva and Harshana Godamanne won their respective singles matches, Chathurya Nilaweera and Thehan Wijemanne paired well to record the doubles victory completing their second consecutive 3-0 win.

In the first singles encounter De Silva edged out Ilgiz Kamchibekov 7-6(5), 6-0.Godamanne then registered a 6-4, 6-2 win over Mirgiiaz Mirdzhaliev.The doubles pair beat Mirgiiaz Mirdzhaliev and Evgeniy Babak 6-4, 6-2.With Sri Lanka leading their group they are set to meet Iraq in the next encounter on Saturday.
