Sri Lanka commence campaign with 3-0 win over Mongolia

ITF World Junior Team Competition

Sri Lanka registered victories in all three matches to beat Mongolia 3-0 in the ITF World Junior Team Competition Asia Oceania Pre-Qualifying Event which commenced at the Sri Lanka Tennis Association courts on Monday.

While Pasidu Rukunayake and Methika Wickramasinghe won the two singles matches, Aahil Kaleel joined Wiickramasinhe to emerge victorious in the doubles.

Some 15 countries are taking part in this tournament which concludes on 18.

1st Singles match:

Pasidu Rukunayake beat Bilgun Enjhbayar (Mongolia) 6-0, 6-0

2nd Singles match:

Methika Wickramasinghe beat Zolbadarurnyjh (Mongolia) 6-3, 6-2

1st Doubles match:

Aahil Kaleel and Methika Wiickramasinhe beat Zolbadarurnyjh and Bilgun Enjhbayar (Mongolia) 6-1, 6-2.
