Sprinters earn awards for best performances

Sprinters Shanela Senevirathne of Gateway College, Rajagiriya and Dineth I Weeraratne of Leeds International, Panadura were adjudged the best performers in the girls and boys categories respectively of the 22nd Inter International Schools Athletics Championship concluded in Colombo on Sunday.

Senevirthne clocked 12.20 seconds in the Under 20 girls 100 meters and Weeraratne shattered the meet record in the Under 20 boys 100 metres heats.Weeraratne clocked a blistering time of 10.62 seconds.
