Speed leaves five injured; two in ICU

A speeding three wheeler on Monday (15) crashed into a double cab at Handapanagala junction on the Wellawaya-Thanamalwila road.

Five persons injured in the accident were admitted to the Moneragala hospital. The driver and a woman were receiving treatment at the intensive care unit of the hospital.

Wellawaya police said that the three wheeler had crashed into the rear of the double cab that stopped at a zebra crossing.
