South Korea develops Matara hospital at a cost of USD 9 mn

South Korea has renovated and upgraded Korea Sri Lanka Friendship Hospital (KSFH) in Kamburugamuwa, Matara, at a cost of USD 9 mn.According to a statement issued by the South Korean embassy in Colombo, the grant covered the construction of a new building, renovation of the KSFH and new kitchen.

In addition to infrastructure development, South Korea also provided medical equipment and two buses to move patients between the Matara District General Hospital (DGH) and KSFH and capacity building programmes for Healthcare Workers in the KSFH
