South Africa – Sri Lanka Bilateral Trade & Investment session at the National Chamber

The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka will be organizing a bilateral trade & investment discussion between Sri Lanka & South Africa on July 20 from 10.00 a.m. to 12.00 noon at the National Chamber Auditorium, No. 450, D.R. Wijewardena Mawatha, Colombo 10.

High Commissioner of South Africa to Sri Lanka Sandile Edwin Schalk will be the Special Guest Speaker and the session will be assisted by the Commercial Counsellor.

The participants will get an opportunity to have a close dialogue with the High Commissioner of South Africa.The overall purpose of this meeting is to discuss the current trade environment, investment opportunities/services, policies and other important factors with a view to promoting and strengthening bilateral trade and investment between Sri Lanka and South Africa.

Sri Lanka’s Main Exports to South Africa:

Tea, apparel, retreaded or used pneumatic tyres, activated carbon, other vegetable textile fibres, crepe rubber, other articles of vulcanized rubber, articles of apparel and clothing, new pneumatic tyres of rubber etc.

Sri Lanka’s Main Imports from South Africa

Bituminous coal, iron and steel; articles of iron and steel, diamonds, organic chemicals, copper, plants and parts of plants, beverages, spirits and vinegar, seeds, fruit and spores, maize, oranges fresh etc.
