SLT-MOBITEL donates high-dependency unit beds to Kegalle General Hospital
In its continued efforts to help Sri Lanka fight against the Covid19 pandemic, SLT-MOBITEL has donated high-dependency unit (HDU) beds to the Kegalle General Hospital, to support the critical care and treatment of COVID-19 patients. The units were handed over to the Director of the Kegalle General Hospital recently. According to the Director, the units have been reserved for Ward 13, which has been upgraded to treat COVID-19 patients who need extended high dependency care.
The donation was part of SLT-MOBITEL’s ‘Sambandiyawe Sathkaraya’ CSR initiative and the group appreciates the support received from all Sri Lankans towards ‘Daana Paaramitha’ which was conceptualized to create a platform to further increase community involvement in carrying out relief efforts to support families affected by the pandemic.
The HDU beds were handed over at the hospital premises to Dr. Y.M.M Priyangani, Director, General Hospital, Kegalle by SLT-MOBITEL Officials.
