SLN seizes two poaching Indian fishing vessels

Indian fishing craft continue to engage in illegal fishing in Sri Lankan waters, according to the Sri Lanka Navy.

Navy headquarters said that Fast Attack Craft (FACs) deployed to chase such a cluster north of the Delft Island on Monday (22) night had taken into custody two trawlers along with six Indian fishers.

They were brought to the Kankesanthurai Harbour and handed over to the Mailadi Fisheries Inspector for legal action.
