SLFPA donates Rs 1.1 million worth PMUs to National Hospital

Sri Lanka Food Processors Association (SLFPA) initiated a program to donate five Multi Para Monitors or Patient Monitoring Units ((PMU) which help to monitor the Respiratory Rate, Heart Rate, Pulse Rate, ECG, Systolic and Diastolic pressure, and other critical factors of Covid 19 patients. SLFPA came forward with this project to appreciate the front line medical personnel and to help in their efforts to fight against Covid 19. The handing over ceremony took place at the National Hospital recently with the participation of the President of SLFPA – Nishan Perera, Vice President/CSR Project Chairman – Damitha Perera , General Secretary – Aruna Senanayake, Treasurer – Nadeeshan Guruge and one of the SLFPA Past Presidents – Dhammika Gunasekera. Dr.Kumar Wickremasinghe – Deputy Director General Health Services accepted the machines on behalf of the National Hospital. The total value of the machines is over Rs 1.1 million.

CMC Engineering Export GmbH, Westmann Engineering Co.(Pvt) Ltd and EOAS Organics Pvt Ltd contributed a unit each, while Country Style Foods Pvt Ltd (SMAK), Forbs & Walker Commodity Brokers (Pvt) Ltd, Trans Continental Packaging & Commodities (Pvt) Ltd, Control Union inspections Pvt Ltd, Rohan Rodrigo Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Pvt Ltd and Finagle Lanka Pvt Ltd contributed as part sponsors.

SLFPA hopes to hand over a second batch of machines in due course.
