SLC launches under-23 tournament for women 

Women’s cricket has gained lot of momentum in the last ten years or so and Sri Lanka Cricket has given prominence for women’s cricket organizing several competitions.

A under-23 District cricket tournament got underway last week and a notable feature was active participation in the Jaffna district where five teams are competing. The idea of this tournament is to unearth new talent. SLC recently gifted cricket equipment to several schools to help them continue the game.

The outstation representation of both Sri Lanka’s men’s and women’s teams has grown immensely and SLC has invested considerably on outstation cricket.
