SLAS appoints panel to probe Fox Hill Supercross 2024 tragedy

The Sri Lanka Automobile Sports (SLAS) has appointed a three-member panel to investigate the tragedy that took place at the Fox Hill Supercross 2024 on April 21.

The SLAS has in a release said that Chandana Liyanapatabendy will be heading the inquiry panel to study facts and circumstances that led to the tragic incident and also to inspect the surroundings and the track. Former Secretary of the Bar Association of Sri Lanka, Sanjaya Gamage, and former Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka, former banker and lawyer Vijaya Gamage are the other two members of the investigative panel.
