SLAF hands over six tonnes of organic fertiliser to CFC

A consignment of 6000 kg of organic fertiliser manufactured by the Sri Lanka Air Force Base Katunayake Organic Fertiliser Project was handed over to the Ceylon Fertiliser Company Limited (Lak Pohora) at Wattala on Wednesday.
The SLAF Organic Fertiliser Project commenced under the directions of Commander of the Sri Lanka Air Force, Air Marshal Sudarshana Pathirana ito strengthen the Government’s organic fertiliser production drive.
The production process is in compliance with quality standards prescribed by the Ministry of Agriculture under the supervision of Group Captain Rajiv Kodippili the Command Agro Officer SLAF Base Katunayake.
Manager Agriculture SLAF Base Katunayake, Group Captain Daminda Samarathunga handed over the stock of organic fertiliser to Chairman Ceylon Fertilizer Company Limited, Major General (retd) Priyantha Perera for distribution among the farmer community.
The event was attended by the Officer In charge Squadron Leader Kamal Jayasiri, Members of the Managerial Staff at Ceylon Fertiliser Company Limited and other ranks of SLAF Base Katunayake.
