SJB, NPP agree to have debate on 06 June

JVP/NPP’s coordinator for the proposed Anura-Sajith debate, Dr Nalinda Jayatissa, yesterday said that his party was ready to have the debate on 06 June.

Dr Jayatissa said that the venue, time and subject matter for the debate could be decided on in consultation with his SJB counterpart MP Nalin Bandara Jayamaha.

Jayamaha on Sunday issued a social media post agreeing to have the economic council debate between May 27-31 and their  leaders’ debate between June 03 and 07.

Accordingly the JVP/NPP has chosen 06 June as the date for the debate between Opposition and SJB leader Sajith Premadasa and Anura Kumara Dissanayake.
