Sithmal hammers 245 runs in 126 balls  

Kithma Sithmal hogged the limelight for Ananda College ‘B’ in an Inter School Under 15 Division II cricket encounter as he hammered 245 runs in 126 balls for them to post a massive total of 424 runs against Wesley ‘B’ at Campbell Park yesterday.

Ananda went on to win the match by 285 runs.

Sithmal’s huge knock included 29 fours and 15 sixes.

In their essay Wesley posted 139 runs for the loss of eight wickets. While Minaga Perera was the pick of the bowlers with three wickets, Ramiru Silva bowled a tight spell. Silva gave away just 18 runs in his ten overs which included three maidnes. Sevin Batugahage and Sharada Jayarathne grabbed two wickets each.
