Sing along with your favourites…

The local entertainment scene is certainly looking good, especially with the festive season around the corner.

There’s something happening for everybody – the young, the not so young, and the older folks.

Sing-along events are generally a favourite with the older folks as the songs dished out are the oldies…the hits of the good old days.

In the not too distant past, Rhythm World Dance Studio was associated with a sing-along event that was well patronised.

It was a family scene with many exercising their vocal cords, with the help of the artistes in attendance, and it was invariably Sohan & The X-Periments in the spotlight.

After a short break from the scene, The X-Periments, with Sohan, of course, will be seen in action at ‘Retro Music With The Stars’ – the final sing-along series organised by Symphony (Pvt.) Ltd., to be held on 18th November, at the BMICH Banquet Hall.

Symphony (Pvt.) Ltd. has organised this sing-along consecutively for the past seven years, with the proceeds of these shows being utilised to purchase Medical Equipment for the Pediatric Ward of the Cancer Hospital Maharagama.

The final show, ‘Retro Music With The Stars,’ will feature Mignonne (of Jetliners’ fame) with Suraj, singing doctor Nilanka Wickramasinghe, Sureshini Wanigasuriya, and Ishini Fonseka, along with Sohan & The X-Periments.

Sohan is a veteran when it comes to sing-along events as he has the knack of making the audience ‘stars for one night.’

The ever popular Kumar de Silva will be in charge of the evening’s proceedings.

Yes, you will be assured of an evening full of entertainment, and remember veteran entertainer Mignonne, and her singing partner Suraj, will also make it irresistible for you not to join in the singing.
