Simple ways to take care of your skin
Crush half an avocado and mix it with one teaspoon of olive oil; you can also add one tablespoon of honey for very dry skin. Apply the mask to your face, leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes, and then wash it off. Your skin should feel moisturized, but you can double up on the hydrating effects by applying your regular moisturizer, as well.
* Olive Oil and Sugar
Mix ½ cup of sugar with two tablespoons of olive oil. Gently rub the scrub into your skin, and then wash it off. Use a soothing moisturizer to lock in the benefits of freshly exfoliated skin.
* Coconut Oil
Coconut oil becomes a solid at room temperature, so use it as a moisturizing cream, at bedtime, or anytime. For chapped heels and hands, apply the oil, then layer with thick socks, or non-latex gloves.
* Almond and Milk
To prepare an almond and milk mask, soak a few almonds in milk, as per the requirement, in the morning. At night, crush those soaked soft almonds, in the milk, to obtain an even paste. Apply this paste over facial skin and leave it the whole night. Next morning, wash face with cold water.
* Lime Juice and Cucumber
To make a cucumber and lime face pack, collect the juice of one cucumber and mix one teaspoon of lemon juice, glycerin and turmeric. The mixture is ready to apply. Use a cotton ball to apply that mask and let it work for 15 minutes. To clean face, use cold water.
* Egg and Banana
Take a half meshed banana, one egg white and one tablespoon curd, in a container. Mix the ingredients together to get a smooth mixture and then apply it over face. Let the pack work on skin for 15 minutes and then wash it with normal water.
* Watermelon and Cucumber
You can prepare this face pack with the help of one teaspoon milk powder, one teaspoon yoghurt and two tablespoons of watermelon and cucumber juice. By mixing all the ingredients, you will get a thick, smooth paste. Apply the paste over facial skin and leave it on for 15 minutes. Then wash face with normal water.
