Showers in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western, North-central , Uva and Southern provinces after 2pm

Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Western, Central, Sabaragamuwa and Uva provinces and in Galle and Matara districts during the morning.

Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western,  North-central , Uva and Southern provinces after 2.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers about 75 mm are likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.

Winds will be variable and wind speed will be (15-25) kmph.

Sea areas around the island will be slight but strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers.

General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
