Showers or thundershowers possibly above 50mm are likely to occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa and Northern provinces and in Galle, Matara and Puttalam districts. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Eastern, Uva, Central and North-Central provinces, and in Hambantota district during the evening or night.
Winds will be south-westerly and wind speed will be (25-35) kmph. Wind speed can increase up to (50-55) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coast extending from Chilaw to Kankasanthurai via Mannar and from Hambantota to Batticaloa via Pottuvil.

General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.

Fairly heavy showers above 50 mm are likely at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Nuwara Eliya, Galle and Matara districts. Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Uva province and in Ampara and Batticaloa districts in the evening or night.
Winds will be south-westerly and wind speed will be (30-40) kmph. Strong winds of about (40-50) kmph can be expected at times over Northern, North-central, North-western provinces and in Trincomalee and Hambantota districts. Wind speed may increase up to (50-60) kmph at times in the sea areas off the coasts extending from Mullaitivu to Puttalam via Kankasanthurai, Mannar and from Hambantota to Batticaloa via Pottuvil.
