Shiplift at WCS used to dry berth 100-tonne catamaran

Walkers Colombo Shipyard (WCS) lifted the 100-tonne catamaran hulled sailing yacht ‘Ocean Diamond’ for dry berthing recently. The vessel was to undergo servicing and minor refurbishments.WCS is the only shipyard in the region that boasts of a modernhydraulic shiplift that could lift a maximum load of 1,250 tonnes. The company also provides an array of services ranging from ship building to major and repairs and routine maintenance and service.The 26.6 meter long ‘Ocean Diamond’ is owned by Sail Lanka who provide day or overnight excursions of the southern and eastern coasts depending on the monsoons and excursions around the Island if required.
