She is certainly…moving on
‘Moving On’ is Yohani’s new single, and it’s released via Red Bull Records.
The singer, who recently enjoyed huge success in India, with her cover of ‘Manike Mage Hithe,’ says ‘Moving On’ is about moving on from anything in life, but with confidence. “You’re pushing through and embracing your power. It’s punchy, and you can dance to it, and it’s got a Sri Lankan vibe on the bridge.”
The track is described as twists and turns through guitar-laced beats, and fluttering pop melodies, into a rap bridge.
Seamlessly switching between English and Sinhala, the song, they say, reflects every side of Yohani’s sizzling signature style and illuminates her predisposition for sonic experimentation, and unpredictable energy.
‘Moving On’ is accompanied by a music video, described as stunning. Joined by some friends, and filmed in various locations, Yohani is seen navigating life, post break-up, with positivity and resilience in this video, which, they say, is destined to have music lovers gyrating to.
Written and directed by Dilanjan Seneviratne, the music video is a collaborative effort between local record label Pettah Effect and production partner Theewra.

says Yohani.
