Shazna Muzammil wins seat in UK Local Council election

Shazna Muzammil, daughter of Uva Governor A J M Muzammil and social worker Ferouza, has successfully contested the Local Council elections in the UK by winning the seat this year for the Tattenhoe Ward.

Shazna, a nominee of the Conservative Party, represented the Tattenhoe Ward at the May 6 election.

Shazna has an MSc in Development Management from the Open University in the UK, and MBA from the Cardiff Metropolitan University.

She was a volunteer with various organisations including as an Appropriate Adult with the Milton Keynes Youth Offending Team, and mentor with Children Heard and Seen, an organisation supporting children whose parent(s) are in prison.

Her representation covers Denbigh East, Fenny Stratford, Water Eaton, Lakes Estate and Milton Keynes.

Shazna identifies herself as a volunteer and an appropriate adult with the Milton Keynes Youth Offending Team and mentor with Children heard and Seen an organization supporting children whose parent is in prison.

“I am a community Covid champion, NHS responder and a volunteer vaccinator. I am a firm believer in community involvement to uplift our neighbourhoods and is interested in collaborative ways of helping small and large local businesses succeed beyond this pandemic,” she has revealed on her official Facebook page.
