Shared experience between Australia and Sri Lanka discussed

Members of Sri Lankan Study Centre for the Advancement of Technology and Social Welfare, SCATS Australia and SCATS Sri Lanka, with Australian High Commissioner Paul Stephens

The Sri Lankan Study Centre for the Advancement of Technology and Social Welfare, SCATS Australia and SCATS Sri Lanka met Australian High Commissioner Paul Stephens at its High Commission in Colombo and discussed the shared experience between the two countries in economic, technological and social fields.

Gamini Perera, OAM the Founder President of SCATS Australia, explained the 30 years of journey of service, and Kanaka Herath, State Minister of Technology and Advisor of SCATS Sri Lanka, emphasised the importance of Transferring Technology and innovation through SCATS. The High Commissioner was impressed and highlighted the importance of having strong relationships with the two countries, and also exploring ways to assist Sri Lanka in the field of Education, Technology and Economic growth.

The President of the Sri Lanka branch Lionel Nawagamuwa, and Secretary Dr. P.N Meegaswatte, addressed the meeting, and Daya Lankapura, Media Advisor, and Upali Liyadapitiya, the coordinating Secretary of SCATS Sri Lanka, also attended the discussion.
