Seven-day window for students to apply for university admissions after re-correction of results

The University Grants Commission (UGC), on 14 September, would commence accepting applications for university admission, UGC Chairman Prof. Sampath Amaratunga said.Prof. Amaratunga said that students not satisfied with their A/L examination results can apply for the rescrutiny of their answer scripts from 07 September.

“However, results of re-correction will not be out when we start evaluating university applications. Therefore, we will leave some slots for those who have applied for re-correction and might get revised results and qualify for university entrance,” he said.

Once re-correction was completed, the UGC would open its systems again for one week, allowing the students to apply for universities, the UGC head said.
