Seven arrested for attempt to migrate to India illegally

Seven persons who tried to leave the country, illegally, were apprehended by the Navy at the Seventh Sandbar in Talaimannar.The arrest was made following a tip-off that a group of persons were staying in this area to migrate to India. The Navy said that among the suspects there were five men and two women, and they were residents of Vavuniya, Trincomalee and Mannar.
