Sevanagala issue: PMD says company won’t be returned to Daya  

Apropos the front page lead story, headlined ‘Move to handover Sevanagala Sugar Co. to Daya G alleged,’ in yesterday’s (Oct. 30th 2023) edition of The Island, the Presidential Media Unit (PMD) has stated that the Sevanagala Sugar Company will not be handed over to Daya Gamage.

The PMD has stated that compensation will be paid to the former proprietor of the company.
