Senior Additional Solicitor General retires
Sarath Jayamanne the Senior Additional Solicitor General, President’s Counsel, will retire on January 16, 2021. He has appeared in most of the landmark cases such as the Tony Martin case and the Kobbeigana beauty queen murder case.
He has many academic accomplishments connected to the legal profession and had secured them while serving in the Attorney General’s Department.
During the latter part of the yahapalana administration, Jayamanne functioned as the Director General of CIABOC. (CW)
