Seek help of private hospitals for jab drive

In order to further expedite the Covid inoculation process, I think that the Government whilst getting the assistance of the military should also get the leading Private Hospitals to contribute to the national vaccination drive.

The private hospitals can undertake to do this free of charge as one of their CSR projects. This way we can put a full-stop to the lock down, be it smart or not, being extended weekly. Eventually both health and wealth or lives and livelihood undoubtedly can be safeguarded.

I would like to suggest to the President Gotabhaya Rajapakse to get the Minister of Health Keheliya Rambukwella to see whether State Pharmaceutical Corporation could manufacture locally the Covid vaccines, of course provided it is cost-effective, as the requirement is going to surge when the booster doses have to be given to those who have already got the double vaccination.
