Schools with fewer than 100 students to reopen later this month

Schools with fewer than 100 students would be reopened later this month for academic activities, Minister of Education, Prof G.L. Peiris said yesterday

Thus, 2,962 schools are scheduled to be reopened this month.

Prof. Peiris said that all teachers would be vaccinated before the school reopening.

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa had approved the vaccination of teachers next week, said Prof. Peiris.

The Ministry expects to vaccinate 242,000 teachers within three weeks.
