Sajith: Prz locking horns with Sports Minister over cricket reforms has led to calamity

Sri Lanka’s cricket crisis had turned out to be a calamity with the Sports Minister and the President being at loggerheads, Opposition and SJB leader Sajith Premadasa told Parliament yesterday.

Soon after the Sports Minister appointed a committee to look into the reasons for the country’s dismal performance and adjacent problems pertaining to the national cricket team, the President, too, has appointed a Cabinet sub-committee for the same purpose, Premadasa said.

Premadasa said they should stop fighting and inform parliament what action they were planning to take to save the game from its present predicament.
