Sajith pledges to convene an international aid conference to develop North

Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa on Thursday (04) said that he will convene an international aid conference to develop the North and East when the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) comes into power.

“No President was able to hold such a conference following the war but we will hold such an event at the end of the year,” he said addressing an event at Mullaitivu where he distributed equipment needed for a digital classroom to Thanneeroottu Muslim School.

Premadasa said that most politicians remember the voter during elections and the SJB will end that tradition from the end of the year, after he is elected the new President.
