Opposition Leader MP Sajith Premadasa said yesterday that he had held discussions with three Middle Eastern countries to obtain fuel under a concession rate for two-years.

Premadasa said the Samagi Jana Balavegaya was capable of rebuilding Sri Lanka by overcoming the serious economic challenges it faced.

Although the three Middle Eastern countries agreed to provide fuel for a SJB government, they had refused to provide the concession facility to the present administration, the Opposition Leader said.

MP Premadasa said fraud and corruption should be eradicated for the country to come out of the current economic crisis.

He made the observation while attending an event to hand over water purifiers and a television to officers at the Yala National Park under Project Leopard.
