Sagala makes statement for more than eight hours

Former Minister of Law and Order and Southern Development, Sagala Ratnayake yesterday (21) made a statement for more than eight hours at the police unit attached to the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) investigating the Easter Sunday attacks.
Ratnayake arrived at the investigation unit around 9.30 a.m.
On 11 August, former Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, State Minister of Defence Ruwan Wijewardene and Ratnayake were asked to appear before the PCoI police unit to be questioned on the Easter Sunday attacks.
Wijewardene gave a statement on 18 August. Wickremesinghe was also scheduled to record a statement yesterday but he informed the PCoI that he would not be able to appear. He is scheduled to record a statement on 31st August.
