S.Thomas’ win Archibald Perera Trophy in thriller

S.Thomas’ College Mount Lavinia won the Archibald Perera Trophy with a close 23-22 win over hosts St. Peter’s College in their traditional rugby encounter played at Bambalapitiya yesterday.

The winners had a slight grip in the match over their opponents in both halves and collected their points through four tries and a penalty while the Peterites responded with three tries, two conversions and a penalty. The winners led 20-14 at half time.
