Royal Nursing Home’s new programme in 2022 to generate 1,000 jobs
Royal Nursing Home (Pvt) Ltd which provides in-house nursing services and ambulance service, recently pledged to provide free nursing training and recruit 400 persons under the age of 45 by 2022 and to generate 1,000 jobs in 2022.
The decision was taken at a meeting at the head office of the company with the participation of Chairman of the Company, Manuja Hewawasam, the Executive Director, Mrs. Hemali Geekianage, the General Manager, Danushka Wijesinghe, alongside divisional managers and executive officers of the company. Royal Nursing Home (Pvt) Ltd was founded in 2007 and is an approved body of the Private Healthcare Regulatory Commission of the Ministry of Health.
The company currently comprises of 600 experienced staff members with professional training
Chairman Manuja Hewawasam said that the decision was taken in order to provide a more efficient and qualitative service to senior citizens. The General Manager of the company, Danushka Wijayasinghe, said that the institute had not laid off or reduced wages of a single employee throughout the Covid-19 pandemic over the last two years.
The new initiative will create job opportunities for those who have lost their jobs as well as for new job seekers.
In addition, the Institute also expects to extend its nursing services to Hong Kong, Malaysia, and Singapore to help boost the country’s economic standing by earning foreign exchange.
