Rover Scout – Baden Powell Award

Ms. Randi Hathnagoda of Kurunegala was awarded the Baden Powell’s (BP) Award, the highest rank a Rover Scout could achieve.

The Awards Ceremony was held on April 25 at the Pallekele Moot Rally of the 34th National Rover Scout Moot Training Centre in Kandy.

The chief guest was Sri Lanka’s Chief Scout Commissioner, Major General Milinda Peiris, Vice Chancellor of the Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU).

Ms. Hathnagoda is a third year Biomedical Sciences undergraduate at the CINEC Campus, Malabe. At present, she is a Rover Scout of the Ethugalpura Pioneers’ Girls’ District Rover Crew of Kurunegala.

She is the daughter of Maj. Gen. (Rtd) Randula & Mrs. Asha Hathnagoda.
